Introduction

The Anjali Institute of Research and Rehabilitation For The Mentally Handicapped and Other Disabled is a Non Government Voluntary Organization. it was registered under the Society's Registration Act 1860,Rg.No.189/2000 dated 29‐06‐2000 Government of Andhra Pradesh. Having recognized by Govt. of A.P. Under Persons with Disabilities Act 1995 under Recognized No.1/W.G  of 2005 dated 16‐02‐2005 and also registered in National Trust with No.0172/MR/CP/Autism/MD.  Under the EXEMPTED U/S  OF THE I.T.Act . 1961 Vide Proceedings F.NoH.Q.No.III/14/Rjy/03.04/40/Pg.112 dated 28.11.2006 of the C.I.T.

It was started with an aim to cater the needs of all types of differently abled of the rural and urban areas. During survey of certain villages, it has been found that many Mentally Retarded and Other Disabled  Children have been badly neglected by their own parents and they are being treated as mad and less Knowledge persons and harassed under the above circumstances.

The Anjali Institute of  Research and Rehabilitation For The Mentally Handicapped and Other Disabled has been started to look after, the care and development of the Mentally Retarded and Other Disabled Children. The Government of India in its order No010180200 dated 22‐09‐2005 permitted to receive donations from Abroad under section 6(1) of the F.C.R.A.

The Founder & Secretary Sri V.D.V.PRASAD RAO.,M.A.,D.M.R.,CST  is a dedicated worker and taking up various welfare activities in the areas of disability and other programmers in urban and rural areas to the persons who are below poverty line, irrespective of caste, creed, sex and religion.

To enable the differently abled, in improving their quality of life by providing Quality Education With Trained Teachers, and caring them with Dedicated Staff and make them meaningful independent participatory adult role in the society.

Our Vision


Reach the un‐reached through provision of quality and quantity of services for better lives of differently abled.

  1. To Provide training in Education as vocational and Technical service ( Aids and Appliances) to the Mentally Retarded and Other disabled persons.
  2. To organize community based Rehabilitation centers in the Rural areas through community participation (CPR).
  3. To conduct public awareness camps and orientation programmes to the public.
  4. To provide as a part of the awareness to establish a useful library with literature to the disabled persons and general public.
  5. To provide job training, sheltered training and enclave models to the disabled persons for employment.
  6. To provide pre-school integrated education to mentally retarded and other disabled.
  7. To provide childcare services, Nutrition, Baby Care centers, and free medical services.
  8. To provide special supported education to the uncared for children integrated with others.
  9. To conduct family counseling center for families of disabled children.
  10. To take care of orphan children along with senior citizens of India.

As an NGO, we are with limited resources, Nevertheless our limitation. We are wholeheartedly and sincerely serving the Persons who are in need. This institute has also registered under section 80G & 12A of Income Tax Act 1961 and PWD Act 1995.

OBJECTIVES OF ANJALI INSTITUTE

  • To rehabilitate persons with intellectually disabled through     appropriate training directed towards leading an independent life as best possible.
  • To work for the prevention of intellectually Disabled through parental education, publication and proper mother and child care.
  • To promote the abilities in the intellectually disabled persons  through income-Generating and employment.
  • To enhance Self-Advocacy in intellectually disabled Persons.
  • To inculcate Self-Awareness Building at all levels.
  • To extend services available in the community for the development of the intellectually disabled children.
  • To work towards the acquisition of equal rights and equal opportunities for intellectually disabled persons in all areas of human development.
  • To provide training  and consultancy services.
  • To bring parents of intellectually  Disabled under one  association of their own in order to work for the care, training, treatment  and rehabilitation of their intellectually  Disabled Children so as to provide guidance, stimulate positive social action which promotes the welfare of their intellectually Disabled Children.
